Abstract :
A double output digital polyharmonic synthesizer suitable for calibrating phase sensitive measuring systems is being developed at INRIM. Digital to analog converters with high resolution and update rate synthesize simultaneously a pair of waveforms with fine trimming of electric parameters and harmonics. The band is up to 100 MHz, but it can be further extended. Primary characterization of the synthesizer in terms of amplitude, accuracy and stability has been made up to 1 MHz. The total harmonic distortion, synthesizing single tone up to 50 MHz, has been evaluated.
