  • Abstract
    A fast 2D filtering technique is outlined and implemented for the qualitative analysis of sparse two-dimensional data fields. The resulting images contain most of the highlights and major long-wavelength activity seen in fields generated with more conventional and time-consuming direct interpolation techniques
