Abstract :
The dispersion characteristics of periodically loaded conducting posts in a rectangular waveguide, which could be utilized as an interaction circuit of Gyro-TWT, have been measured. The measurement method using short metal plate can measure dispersion characteristics more simply and rapidly than the perturbation method. Various structures of periodically loaded conducting posts have been measured in the passband to investigate their dispersion characteristics. The measured results are compared with HFSS and show good agreement.
