Abstract :
A novel, very simple transmission-type sensor for measuring the dielectric constant, especially of high loss materials, is proposed. The response obtained for different reference liquids from a mode matching technique compares well with the measured scattering parameters in the frequency range from 100 MHz to 18 GHz.
