Abstract :
The authors report the performance of a 1.4 Gbit/s differential phase shift keying (DPSK) coherent fiber system experiment using a balanced receiver. They show that the detection sensitivity as a function of local oscillator (LO) power follows the same functional dependence as the theoretical prediction
