Abstract :
A high-speed 1.5 μm DFB laser diode, a 120 degree optical hybrid 3×3 coupler, and three phase-matched wideband receivers and wideband squaring circuits made it possible to operate a three-branch phase diversity homodyne detection system up to 5 Gb/s
