Abstract
We investigate the performance of Frost adaptive beamformer via computer simulations for QPSK signals transmitted over Rayleigh and Rice fading channels. Simulation results show that the Frost beamformer can still improve the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio, even over fading channels. On the other hand, we have built a prototype system which uses TMS320C30 DSP chip for the realization of the Frost beamformer. Preliminary experimental results show its promising effect
