Abstract :
For getting momentarily the detail information about the objects of interest (OOI) in a whole screen visual field which is compressed using wavelet transform in a wide scope micro-manipulation, a novel algorithm using the local inverse discrete wavelet transform was put forward and applied. The algorithm is wavelet-based scalable reconstruction of the local region, from which the local region can be directly reconstructed level by level in both spatial resolution and SNR with part of the correlative compressed data stream, As a result, not only all the objects can be seen in a single screen visual field, but also the detail information about OOI can be obtained freely
