Abstract
Evaluates the performance capabilities of the controllers designed based upon input-output linearisation theory and the L/A control strategy. After a brief introduction to differential-geometric notation, the fundamental ideas behind the input-output linearisation technique is presented. Next, the L/A control philosophy is discussed in some detail. Finally, the performances of the various control schemes are illustrated by applications to a nonlinear simulation of a continuous bioprocess
