Abstract :
The paper evaluates the performance of a CDMA based static wireless sensor network (WSN) in terms of bit error rate (BER), considering correlation amongst signal and interferers in large scale fading environment. We assume each node is power controlled while antenna diversity is present only at the sink. The effects of node density, and number of antennas used for spatial diversity on BER is investigated. We also evaluate the sink capacity, defined as the maximum number of sensor nodes transmitting information concurrently to the sink and located within one hop layer, considering a threshold BER. The impact of activity of node interferers, and antenna diversity on the sink capacity is also indicated.
