Abstract :
Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has several advantages such as simple structure, high efficiency and brushless etc, it has obtained widespread application. Rotor magnetic flux leakage of the traditional motor is large, so it will affect the performance of the PMSM. A new rotor structure is presented in this paper. Both the magnetic bridge and the permanent magnet are the arc-shaped structure. We did finite element analysis to the new PMSM and traditional PMSM by the software ANSYS. We get the magnetic field distribution & torque-angle characteristic of the two kinds of PMSM. The results show that the rotor magnetic flux leakage of the PMSM with new magnetic bridge is smaller than the traditional PMSM, and the new PMSM also has longer magnets which can supply a larger main flux. Therefore, the performance of the new PMSM has been greatly improved.
