Abstract :
In the analysis of the geometry complexity of rock joints, image processing and analysis is one of the best techniques. The measurement parameters of rock joints can be obtained by using digital image analysis technique. And the grade of geometry complexity of rock joints can be determined on considering the parameters comprehensively based on fuzzy comprehensive judgement. After image processing and segmentation of complicated rock joints, the remaining question is how to analyze the complex rock joint network. To resolve the problem, a fuzzy set is setup. In the set, four parameters, area ratio of joints and non-joints, joint branch number per square meters-, joint grid number per square meters-, the ratio of grids´ average area and rock sample area, are used. Based on the four basic parameters, the algorithm of fuzzy comprehensive judgement is studied. As tested, the studied algorithm can give a more accurate result for rock joint geometry complexity analysis
