Welcome to EuRAD 2010

I am very pleased to welcome you on the 7th European Radar Conference which is held this year in Paris as part of the European Microwave Week (EuMW). Every year, since the beginning of this conference seven years ago, the interest in the Radar activities grown. This is due mainly to the quality of the papers, workshops and focused sessions which have been proposed during the past conferences. This level of quality has been achieved thanks to the high class research performed in advanced, either from university or from industry laboratories in the world and thanks also to the rigor of the Technical Committee which review and select the papers. The number of proposed contributions has continuously increased during the seven years and EuRAD is now established as one of the largest European and worldwide Radar events. EuRAD submission is now more than 15% of the whole EuMW which creates the necessity to increase the duration of this conference to two full days.
