  • Abstract
    In order to satisfy the demand from HF system designers for more realistic channel models, a new model which has been proposed by Le Roux et al. is validated. The basic principles of this model are summarized and the main steps of the validation process are described. The data used to validate the model are obtained from a 650 km long midlatitude experimental radio link. The authors conclude by indicating how the channel representations thus obtained can be used for simulation purposes
