Abstract
An adaptive image fusion algorithm of SAR/CCD images based on wavelet transform is proposed. In this algorithm an adaptive operator is defined, which is gotten from the two source images´ cross-entropy. The operator is used to adjust coefficients of the low-frequency and high-frequency images´ fusion, so as to achieve the purpose of adaptability. For the decomposed low-frequency and high-frequency, local spatial frequency and local variance are taken as measures respectively, which unify the adaptive operator to obtain the fused low-frequency and high-frequency. Experimental simulation is carried out to get the fuse effect by contrast with other three types of fusions algorithm. The results show that this algorithm has the stable fuse effect and strong adaptability
