Abstract
A rigorous integral equation formulation in conjunction with Green´s function theory is used for the analysis of the wave guiding and coupling phenomena in non-symmetric grating assisted optical couplers. The integral equation is solved by applying an entire domain Galerkin´s technique. Numerical results, referring to the evolution of the propagation constants, as function of the grating´s characteristics are presented
