  • Abstract
It is of paramount importance to acquire the response of many nonlinear forced vibration system. In this paper, a new method was presented to explore the approximate analytical solution of forced vibration system which is named harmonic iteration method (HIM). By regarding nonlinear resilience force and dissipate force as external forces and using the method of iteration until satisfying the precision of solution, consequently approximate analytical solution has been obtained. A comparison of HIM solution and numeric solution has been shown which makes the solving process simply and has high precision accuracy. It also provides a new method for solving forced vibration of system with nonlinear elements.
