Abstract :
We introduce the automatic button-color matching system using Kohonen´s self-organizing feature maps (SOMs). The system consisted of two processes: (1) self-organizing feature mapping and (2) SOM analysis. The recognition test of the system was performed using an actual data set. From the results, the total recognition rate of 78% as almost the same as LVQ (80%) was obtained. Furthermore, ranking information of “best button”, “next best button”, ... can be obtained
