Abstract :
The paper presents an innovative rigorous technique for the transient analysis of the electromagnetic field propagation through anisotropic lossy and dispersive layers. The propagation of the electromagnetic fields through the planar layer is analyzed using the Sturm-Liouville methodology which naturally leads to the dyadic Green´s function of the problem in a series rational form and, therefore, to a time-domain macromodel. The proposed method can be applied to lossy and dispersive anisotropic layers with differently polarized impinging plane-waves.
