Teaching innovation has always been the target of teachers. With an introduction on TEM-4 and some literature views on concurrent validity this paper presents a report on an achievement test administered to a sample of 73 students within two classes who have just finished their 2nd year study of English major. The test is described and the students´ total scores are displayed. Moreover, a t-test is made to show the difference of the two classes´ mean scores. The data analysis and interpretation of the results are apt to declare that this test is a good one which can distinguish good students from the poor students, and will give us some implications on our teaching innovation.
