Abstract :
A method which makes use of the phase information of the spectrum of the radar echo amplitude signal to make azimuth super-resolution, is given. Theoretical analyses and simulation results prove that the method is feasible and can effectively determine whether the radar echoes contain a single target or multi-targets under the condition that the SNR is above 10 dB. The case, in which the time function of the antenna main-lobe is not a match for that of the echo amplitude, is simulated. Finally, the results of processing radar experimental data is presented and indicates again that the method is feasible in practice
