Abstract :
The arithmetic of traditional segmentation and region extraction is based on extraction of shape of objects. Because of the existence of a great deal of speckle noise and fuzzy information in SAR images, it is difficult to realize the segmentation of the region. In the light of the special ability of fractal dimension in the expression of roughness of texture, region segmentation of SAR images based on fractal dimension obtains ideal results.
