Abstract
As a search radar scans over targets, a train of pulses is produced which must be processed for detection. Because of its detection performance, angular accuracy and simplicity of implementation, the two-pole filter is widely used in scanning radars. However, it is sensitive to coefficient errors and instability could easily occur. For this reason, two-pole filter banks are proposed. In comparison with the two-pole filter, the proposed integrator is more stable and less sensitive to filter coefficient quantization. Moreover, the new integrator has almost the same computational load and performance as that of the two-pole filter
