            Abstract : 
Developments in identification and adaptive control of slowly time-varying systems are reviewed. The review is concentrated on the identification and control methodologies for slowly time-varying plants with unstructured uncertainties. Main features and essential relations of these methodologies toward a comprehensive information-oriented adaptation theory are discussed
