  • Abstract
    The reverse of subdivision provides a simple method for grasping the feature of image information. We generalize the reverse of subdivision scheme to subdivision wavelet, and provide simple subdivision wavelet coefficients, which will be useful in image processing. Because of the approximating property of the subdivision scheme given by Limei Zhang et al we use the scheme as a tool for illustrating the advantages of our method. This new deduced wavelet gives us an economical low pass image representation and the good simulation to the initial image, thus offers the potential chance for improving image processing. We demonstrate this dominance with applications in image multiresolution representation and edge detection
