Abstract :
The shielding effectiveness of many sorts of metal meshes in transient electromagnetic interference, such as lightning, etc., is calculated based on the Fourier transform algorithm. The calculation result shows that the higher the material resistivity and the thinner the mesh radius, the greater is the effect of mesh radius on shielding effectiveness. When the mesh number is fewer, the effect of mesh radius on electric current becomes greater. So the shielding material with a higher mesh number is less affected by mesh radius than that with a lower mesh number.
