High performance CCD telecine for HDTV

The authors describe a high performance HDTV telecine designed and built by Kodak´s Research Laboratories in the United States and in the United Kingdom. HDTV telecines previously demonstrated have exhibited limited performance, particularly in the transfer of colour negative film. The Kodak experimental telecine is designed to translate the superior quality of today´s fine grain film stocks to the HDTV signal format.
