  • Abstract
In analog and digital electronic systems, crosstalk between traces on the printed circuit boards (PCB) can degrade the performance of equipment operations. To reduce crosstalk between two parallel traces of which one is called aggressor trace and the other one is called victim trace, two additional traces grounded by vias are inserted and the aggressor trace is in between the grounded traces. To deal with the complex structure this paper presents a simple equivalent model to simulate the discontinuity caused by vias and the crosstalk is solved by using multiconductor transmission lines theory. The simulation results indicate the validity of the model.
