Abstract :
By approximating electrically large scale objects with polygons, a concise expression for the physical optics (PO) method on electromagnetic scattering by arbitrary shaped conducting targets with partial coating is proposed in this paper, which is based on the theory of equivalent currents on arbitrary radio absorbing material (RAM) surface with infinite metal substrate. The fact that there are only simple algebraic operations without integration in our formula makes the calculation highly efficient and provides a good high-speed estimation of the RCS of electrically large scale conducting bodies with partial coating.
