Abstract :
The printed simple wideband rhombus-like slot antenna with a pair of extended edges is proposed and studied experimentally. In this design, it is found that the impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna can be larger than that of without extended edges. Also, the operating center frequency of the proposed wideband antenna can be lower and this makes the antenna size relatively get smaller than the typical one. From experimental results, the proposed antenna has the similar performance of antenna characteristics to a typical rhombus slot antenna.
