Abstract :
A direct comparison system for calibration of power sensors with 1.85 mm precision coaxial connectors up to 67 GHz has been developed. The comparison is implemented in two frequency bands. Between 10 MHz and 50 GHz, power sensors with 2.4 mm coaxial connectors adapted to 1.85 mm serve as transfer standards while between 50 GHz and 67 GHz, WR15 waveguide power sensors adapted to 1.85 mm serve as transfer standards. The design and implementation of the system, a measurement of the effective efficiency of a commercial 1.85 mm thermoelectric sensor, and uncertainty analysis are discussed.
