Abstract :
At board room and senior executive levels the main applications of expert systems will be to help with the achievement of business goals and with the related overall decision processes involved. These objectives can be achieved by focusing on the levels of business involved, the performance required and the related decision processes. Designing modelling systems to become multi-level goal seeking experts using backward iteration routines, is one way forward. It is possible to develop an expert system to support this decision process by studying the decision process and the goals which a business is normally expected to achieve. It is then possible to arrange data and other information needed in relation to the decision taking process. The author describes such an approach
