Abstract
The robust fault detection problem for linear time invariant (LTI) with both disturbances: unknown finite energy and white noise disturbances is studied. The first step, a residual generator based on filter with H2 / Hinfin setting is designed. The gain matrix of filter is then resolved by solving a convex minimization problem with a set of linear matrix inequality (LMI) constrains. Moreover, based on this a certain robust detection threshold is designed in order to realize the robustness to disturbances and the sensitivity to the faults to be detected. At last, the simulated results show the robust detection approach proposed in this paper can detect effectively the real faults from the disturbances
