Abstract :
Testing and improving commercial traffic software remain as important research topics in the last three decades. Many previous approaches emphasized the driving behaviors of uninterrupted flows (e.g. car-following and lane-changing features) but paid less attentions to the driving behaviors of interrupted flows. In the paper, the distribution of reproduced departure headways at signalized intersection with different queue position and reference observing point are compared with empirical results. We compare the results generated by VISSIM and TransModeler. Results show that slight difference in car-following models and parameters will result in significant difference of the distribution.
