Abstract
Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) is a new signal processing method for analyzing the non-linear and non-stationary signal, but it still has some limitations. The paper discusses the problem of illusive component due to HHT, uses the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to recognise the illusive component, proposes the similarity probability between the IMFs and the signal as the standard whether a IMF is illusive or not, and gets the aim to exclude the illusive component. The signal simulate test proved that this method to deal with the illusive component has an obvious advantage and reasonability
