Abstract :
The authors present a new resonant DC-DC converter using a phase shifted PWM control scheme, which make use of the parasitic LC resonant circuit components of a high voltage transformer and the input capacitance of a high-voltage feeding cable as the smoothing filtering capacitor. The computer-aided simulating analysis is described considering the equivalent circuit high-voltage transformer and high-voltage cable. Illustrated are the voltage regulation characteristics in steady-state operations introducing the normalized control variables and resonant circuit parameters including load circuit constant. The experimental results of this resonant PWM converter suitable for X-ray tube load are demonstrated as compared with simulating results
