Abstract :
A three phase PWM inverter producing the specified waveform output voltage which consists of static induction (SI) thyristors in the main circuit is proposed and analyzed. The inverter can be used as a specified waveform voltage power supply for any harmonic effect testing system of electric apparatus. The inverter can be used as a power supply for testing the connected electric apparatus in any momentary voltage drop, power system faults and three phase unbalanced applied voltage. The fundamental behavior and characteristics of the prototype three phase PWM-control SI thyristor inverter set are discussed with the experimental and analytical results
