Abstract :
Using the approaches of Calderbank by N.D. Alexandru and G. Morgenstern (1998), Cariolaro by G.L. Cariolaro et al. (1983) and Bilardi by G. Bilardi et al. (1983), we devised a general formula to calculate the autocorrelation function for 1I-nO alphabetic line codes using either the kernel D·Tk and the output or codeword matrix A or the kernel Tk-1 and the entry and departure vectors e and d. We checked its validity for a particular block code named PPM. The results perfectly match those found in the literature. We generalized the approaches found in the literature and derived specific formulae to perform the calculations.
