  • Abstract
After analyzing the characteristics and limitations of signed directed graph (SDG) model, the paper took into account of fault revealing time in modeling, and investigates its superposition rules in the propagation path, therefore presented the interval estimation of the fault propagation time. This information is introduced into the fault diagnosis process. We combined the prediction and verification in the propagation direction of initial response with the inverse tracking for the fault origin. This approach extends the static logical reasoning on certain instant pattern into the dynamic reasoning. Simulation experiments show that this idea is reasonable to improve the efficiency of fault diagnosis
