Abstract :
In this paper we overview the different types of DDoS attacks, and their defense mechanism proposed till now, and propose a new approach. In this paper we propose a simple-to-integrate DDoS destination based defense method, which aims at mitigating an attackpsilas effect on the victim side. In this method, heavy traffic is channelizedrdquo before being forwarded to its destination node, thus preventing congestion at the nodepsilas access link. This method is simple to integrate, cheap and most important it requires no collaboration between nodes.
