Abstract
From the perspective of innovation process in services, this paper presents the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and factor analysis for the evaluation of innovation capabilities in knowledge intensive business service firms. Within the proposed methodological approach, a model for the quantitative analysis of innovation capabilities is presented, which includes four dimensions, namely development capability, production capability, marketing capability and organizational capability. In order to show how the evaluation model can be applied to concrete situation, a case study in Zhejiang province in China are presented and discussed.
