Abstract :
The electrical supply industry´s requirements for a simple low maintenance dead break T disconnector for the MV cable distribution system was met by the MK I Raychem Disconnect Unit. Experience with this unit suggested several detail improvements to the basic design which would make it smaller, easier to install and faster to operate. The authors describe the MK II design and several of its applications
