Abstract :
A diode-pumped electro-optical (E-O) Q-switched 1063 nm Nd:GdVO4 laser was present. At the repetition rate of 100 kHz, the maximum average output power of 7.9 W was achieved at an incident pump power of 24.3 W, corresponding to an optical conversion efficiency of 32.5% and a slope efficiency of 38.5%, respectively. Furthermore, a minimum pulse width of 20.2 ns was also obtained at 100 kHz. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on the E-O Q-switched operation of Nd:GdVO4 laser.
