Abstract :
In order to improve the quality of electrical supply in rural areas, it is necessary to find equipment to isolate the faulty part of the feeder very rapidly. A new type of overhead switchgear is developed in association with fault indicator to improve reliability and availability and to make erection easier. Mounting on only one base of the switch-disconnector, the operating device, surge arresters and MV/LV transformer for control gear, and auxiliary equipment is assembled in the factory. The system can be remotely controlled, in the case of extreme climatic conditions
