Abstract
This paper reports the development of a retain and retrieve mechanism for a case-based reasoning (CBR) system in which the recognition of three-dimensional objects is required for the analysis of stress concentration factors in component manufacturing. A rotation-and scale-invariant system is presented which is both computationally simple and extremely robust to noise. Results support the multiple-view paradigm of object recognition
