Abstract :
The authors review the metering experiences of China Light and Power, Hong Kong. The Company continues to enjoy high annual growth rates, however, it was found prudent to strengthen the monitoring of existing meter installations. The authors include mention of tariff groups, metering controls, metering reliability, and some actual metering problems. They comment on prevention, detection and prosecution measures and in particular on computer assisted meter management, in the exercise of vigilance over some 16.8 million accounts issued each year and in the prompting of a visible presence on site at the `high risk´ meter installations
