Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present a behavioral model of a CAN driver, its modeling and results of comparative simulation between the real environment and the system models. The main applications targeted are for automotive applications because for most of communication modules in a car, the CAN (controller area network) is used. This standard is now an international ISO standard. This model has been realized in a fully behavioural way (VHDL/AMS language) in order to avoid taking into account the internal structure of the circuit to speed up the simulation process.
