Automatic acquisition and evaluation of metering data in the Saarland high-voltage network

The Vereinigte Saar-Elektrizitats-Aktiengesellschaft (VSE) is a regional electricity supply company in South-West Germany. The authors look at the automatic acquisition and evaluation of metering data in the Saarland HV network. Five areas are discussed in particular: acquisition of energy flows at supply points; remote transmission of the measured values to the dispatch centre; processing of measured values in dispatch centre and metering department; and evaluation with regard to economic energy management
