Abstract :
The effect of environmental pollution has caused an increased in chronic and communicable diseases. Substantial efforts have been devoted to identifying the factors. An array of sensors is required to monitor various environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, pollutant presence, motion, intrusion, and vibration. When a sensor goes out of range of a configurable threshold, monitoring will be suspended. Prognostics and system health management is an effective technique to provide condition-based monitoring for ensuring reliability and availability for an environmental monitoring system.
