Abstract
The fight to capture the revenues coming from residential customers is turning harder every day. In this struggle, services related to content enjoyment at home are attaining high relevance. Solutions to deliver content to the home in a simple, seamless way, without high investments in equipment both in the home and the access network can be the key for success in this area. In this paper, we present a proposal for a DLNA-based IPTV Platform able to achieve these goals, with special emphasis on authentication and subscription mechanisms integrated into the DLNA protocol and the fixed broadband access network infrastructure.
